Role Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and develop our team in Luleå. You will guide and support engineers and testers while ensuring an efficient and collaborative work environment. Your focus will be on people, strategy, and operations—aligning team development and execution with Careium’s goals.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and other R&D teams, as well as external partners, ensuring smooth workflows and strong technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineers in their daily work.
• Act as the first escalation point for challenges and issues.
• Plan long-term staffing, operations, and system strategies.
• Ensure collaboration with departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
• Oversee on-call rotations and operational support functions.
• Work with suppliers and external partners to optimize efficiency.
• Monitor and mitigate risks related to team operations and projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• M.Sc. or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in engineering leadership, managing both hardware and software teams.
• Strong technical understanding, with the ability to contribute to discussions while trusting experts to make decisions.
• Experience in team development, operational planning, and strategic execution.
• International experience is a plus.
